Welcome to Electra. We're on a mission to make clean cooking technology accessible to every home, and these Terms of Service govern your use of our website (electra.com), our shop, and any services we provide. By accessing our site or purchasing from us, you agree to these terms. Please take a moment to read them.
1. About Electra
Electra Research Inc. designs and sells the Electra Induction Stove — a 120V battery-equipped induction range built to bring cleaner, more efficient cooking to every kitchen. References to "Electra," "we," "us," or "our" throughout this document refer to Electra Research Inc.
2. Use of Our Website
Our website is intended for personal, non-commercial use. By using electra.com, you agree that you will not:
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could harm, disable, or impair its function
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site or its underlying systems
- Use automated tools such as bots, scrapers, or crawlers to retrieve content from the site
- Copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any content on the site without our written permission
- Post or transmit content that is false, misleading, defamatory, obscene, or infringing on any third party's rights
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to our site at any time, for any reason, without prior notice.
3. Orders & Pricing
We work hard to ensure that all product information and pricing on our site is accurate. However, in the event of a typographical error or pricing mistake, we reserve the right to correct the error and, if necessary, cancel or refuse any order placed based on incorrect information. We will notify you promptly if this occurs and will not charge you without your knowledge.
Prices are listed in US dollars and do not include applicable taxes or shipping unless otherwise stated. Tax rebate eligibility (such as the residential clean energy credit) depends on your individual circumstances and is not guaranteed by Electra. We encourage you to consult a tax professional for guidance.
4. Purchases & Payments
By placing an order, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method provided and that the information you submit is accurate. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders at our discretion, including in cases of suspected fraud or errors in product or pricing information.

5. Software, Firmware & End-User License Agreement
The Electra Induction Stove includes embedded software and firmware that powers its battery management system, breaker saver, clean charging intelligence, induction controls, and other smart features (collectively, the "Software"). Your use of the Electra stove constitutes your agreement to the terms of this End-User License Agreement ("EULA"). If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the product.
License Grant
Subject to these terms, Electra Research Inc. grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Software solely for the purpose of operating your Electra Induction Stove for its intended use in your home. This license begins when you first power on or use the stove and continues until the stove is disposed of, sold, or this agreement is terminated.
Restrictions
You agree not to, and will not permit any third party to:
- Decompile, disassemble, reverse engineer, or attempt to derive the source code or underlying algorithms of the Software
- Modify, alter, or create derivative works based on the Software
- Remove or obscure any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices embedded in the Software
- Use the Software for any commercial, timesharing, or service bureau purpose
- Sublicense, lease, rent, or transfer the Software or your license rights to any third party, except as provided under the Transfer section below
Connectivity Requirement
Some of Electra's smart features — including off-peak charging optimization and battery management — require a periodic internet connection to function fully and to allow Electra to validate your license and deliver firmware updates. While the stove will continue to operate on wall power without connectivity, certain features will be limited without it.
Firmware Updates
Electra may periodically issue firmware updates to improve performance, add features, or address safety concerns. By using the stove, you agree to receive these updates. We recommend keeping your stove connected to WiFi so updates can be applied automatically.
Transfer of License
If you sell or transfer your Electra stove to another person, your software license may be transferred along with the physical product, provided that: the new owner accepts these Terms of Service in full; you transfer all associated documentation; and you retain no copies of any proprietary Software. Electra may require written confirmation of the transfer from both parties. Pre-release or beta software versions may not be transferred.
Open-Source Components
The Software may include open-source components. Where required by the applicable open-source licenses, Electra will make the relevant source code available. Details of any open-source components used in Electra's firmware will be listed at electra.com/open-source.
Export Controls
You agree to comply with all applicable U.S. and international export control laws and regulations. You will not transfer the Software or use it in connection with any destination, entity, or individual prohibited under such laws without first obtaining the required government authorization.
6. Product Data & Privacy
The Electra Induction Stove collects certain operational data to support battery management, grid optimization, and product performance. This may include energy usage patterns, battery status and health metrics, voltage and temperature readings, charging and discharging cycles, and connectivity and location data.
By using your Electra stove, you grant Electra Research Inc. a worldwide, royalty-free license to collect and use this operational data ("Product Data") for purposes including battery health monitoring, off-peak charging optimization, grid stress management, product improvement, and safety monitoring. Electra will not use Product Data to identify you personally or share it with third parties for marketing purposes. Our full Privacy Policy, which governs the handling of your personal information, is available at electra.com/privacy-policy.
Electra implements industry-standard security practices to protect Product Data. However, we cannot guarantee that transmissions will always be fully secure or that unauthorized access will never occur. We encourage you to notify us immediately at support@electra.com if you have concerns about your data.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on electra.com — including text, images, logos, videos, product designs, and software — is the property of Electra Research Inc. or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any of this content without our express written permission.
If you believe any content on our site infringes your copyright, please contact us at support@electra.com with a detailed description of the work in question, the location of the allegedly infringing material, your contact information, and a statement of good faith belief that the use is unauthorized.
8. User-Submitted Content
If you submit a review, comment, photo, or other content to us or our platforms, you grant Electra a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, display, and share that content in connection with our products and services. You remain responsible for anything you submit, and you agree not to post content that is inaccurate, harmful, or infringes on anyone else's rights. We reserve the right to remove any user content at our discretion.
9. Third-Party Links & Tools
Our site may include links to third-party websites for your convenience — such as rebate programs, tax credit information, or installation resources. These links do not constitute our endorsement of those sites, and we are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. You access third-party sites at your own risk.
We may also provide access to third-party tools or integrations. Any such tools are provided "as is" without warranty or endorsement from Electra, and your use of them is at your own discretion and risk.
10. Accuracy of Information
We do our best to keep product descriptions, pricing, and other information on our site accurate and up to date. However, occasional errors may occur. We reserve the right to correct any inaccuracies and to cancel or modify orders where incorrect information was a factor. We will always communicate with you clearly if this affects your order.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
Our website and its contents are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive to keep everything accurate and up to date, we make no warranties — express or implied — regarding the completeness, accuracy, or reliability of any content on the site. We do not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
Our product warranty is governed separately by Electra's Warranty Policy, available at electra.com/warranty.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Electra Research Inc. and its officers, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our site, your purchase of our products, or your reliance on any information we provide — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. In no event shall Electra's total aggregate liability exceed the amount you paid for the product or service giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits Electra's liability for fraud, personal injury, or death caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Electra Research Inc., its team members, and its partners from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of our site or products, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third party's rights.
14. Dispute Resolution
We'd always prefer to resolve any concerns directly and amicably. If you have a question or issue, please reach out to us first at support@electra.com — we're a small, passionate team and we genuinely want to make things right.
If we're unable to resolve a dispute informally, both parties agree to submit to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), rather than pursuing claims in court. Arbitration will take place in New York, NY. You and Electra each agree to waive the right to participate in any class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our business, our products, or applicable law. When we do, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of our site or services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to check back periodically.
