Plugging our new Electra stove into a standard 120V outlet completely solved the multi-thousand-dollar hurdle of upgrading our panel for a 240V line.
The performance has been impressive so far. Water boils quickly, the oven heats up fast, and the battery level has stayed above 50% even during longer cooking sessions.
The flat glass top stays cool to the touch and offers great extra space compared to our old gas range. Beyond the smooth purchase and install process, eliminating gas combustion has noticeably improved our home's indoor air quality.

So far we are loving the stove and people are so impressed! We live high in the Colorado mountains where we lose power frequently, and sometimes Xcel Energy turns off the power for days when wildfire danger is high. The stove is a lifesaver with that battery!

Overall, I love that the quick preheat and cool-down cycles do not overheat the kitchen. The exhaust coming out of the back of the Electra is much cooler than my previous gas stove. I used to be very careful grasping a pan handle that was near the exhaust vent when using the gas stove. Not sure how you manage it, but the cool-down does not hugely impact the comfort of the kitchen.
Muffins disappeared around the table. And I am minutes away from taking a batch of baked ziti out of oven. I am having fun baking. Thanks getting me back into full kitchen mode! Also, it is excellent additional counter space in a galley kitchen!

Sometimes being an early adopter can come back to bite one in the rear-end.
Not when it comes to my Electra stove.
I own a restaurant and know a thing or two when it comes to cooking equipment.
Induction stoves are all the rage and for good reason.
They’re energy-efficient, easy to clean, and – while I was skeptical – beat gas when it comes to cooking.
When it came to be time to replace our gas stove, induction was on my mind. But just the cost of pulling the required 220-volt electric line to my kitchen made the overall cost prohibitive.
Then I found the battery-assisted Electra stove.
Ordered in December of 2025, I then waited… then waited a little longer… then waited a little longer still…
While I waited, the Electra Team kept me posted so I never felt like I was out of the loop or had made a bad decision. It was coming, but new technology sometimes run into a few roadblocks along the way.
Finally, in late May it arrived. So sleek and shiny. Well-designed with the big element to the rear so boiling pasta pot steam goes straight up the hood and no having to reach over to simmering saucepans or searing fry pans in the rear like most other stoves. And having two high power and two medium power elements is genius.
At first, there were hiccups. Relays clonking. Fans running. Reboots galore.
I’d report them to Electra Support. OTA updates would occur. Reboots occurred less and less.
Not only was I an early adopter, but I was also part of a team helping new technology find its groove. So cool!
Nowadays there’s not so many emails to Electra Support. The stove is now just another – albeit really cool – kitchen appliance. A web app that lets me control when and how to charge. Minimal energy use during the high-demand and high-cost 5 to 8pm peak energy pricing period. No need to run the hood fan after cooking to remove waste heat from gas burners.
Even if you have 220-volt wiring to your stove now, why would you want to use it? Electricity is expensive. Time and demand pricing is here to stay. Why pay extra to cook dinner?
You want a cutting edge stove with an advanced power system that not only saves money, but takes no additional effort on the owner's part? Electra is the way to go.
