DESIGNED FOR CO-OPS AND MULTI-FAMILY RETROFITS

Easy-install induction
built for NYC co-ops

Electra is a plug and play, full-size, 30-inch induction range with a built-in battery. It runs on a standard 120V outlet (even on a shared circuit), so there’s no need to run new wiring, and no waiting for the gas to come back on.

What the press is saying

“The front-control Electra Induction Stove is among our favorites: It has a true convection oven and is a good option for those who want to switch from a gas range to an induction stove but can’t upgrade and rewire their kitchen’s power supply.”

Rachel Wharton
Rachel Wharton
New York Times Wirecutter

"Electra is outfitting induction stoves with slender batteries that enable the electric appliances to be plugged into a standard outlet — and help the grid."

Maria Galluci
Maria Galluci
Canary Media

"I recently ate a meal prepared on the Electra Induction Stove, which can keep you cooking omelets and searing steaks even if the grid goes down. How does it accomplish this? Simple: It has a big-ass battery inside."

Do we need new wiring or an electrician?

No, Electra plugs into the 120V outlets already in your kitchens. Induction ranges typically need their own 240V circuit; in an older building, that can mean new panels for each unit and a service upgrade for the whole building. Electra makes the switch simple and cost-effective.

Is it safety certified?

Electra is designed to UL standards, and the UL listing is expected by December 2026. Every building on our list gets the certificate the day it’s issued. Residents can order their own today.

Is a battery in every apartment safe?

Electra uses LFP batteries, the type chosen for home and grid storage because it is safe, resists overheating, and can't start a fire..

How does my building order?

In co-ops, residents order and pay on their own, at a discounted building price. For other types of condos, the building owner or property management company places a bulk order with our team.

What does it cost?

Retail is $3,999 plus delivery. Neighbors who order together get building pricing, and a building order for every apartment gets a discounted price. Tell us about your building, and we’ll get in touch with a custom quote.

Does the board have to approve it?

That depends on your building’s decision-making process. Send this page to your co-op board to start a conversation about making the switch to induction.

Who installs it, and what happens to the old stove?

Our delivery crew carries the range in, sets it up, and hauls the old one away.
